Very simple use of shuto-uke as an elbow attack.

Description[edit | edit source]

  1. Sequence begins with the opponent facing you holding your right hand, wrist or forearm with his left.
  2. Move round to your right towards the opponent's left side.
  3. Pull the arm straight with your right hand pulling hikite.
  4. Your left simply comes up under the opponents arm on the up stroke of the shuto.
  5. The down stroke of the shuto impacts the opponent's elbow.
